Electro Sure — Inspection & Testing

Terms & Conditions

The terms below apply to all services booked with Electro Sure. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. About Electro Sure

These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern all services provided by Electro Sure trading as Electro Sure ("we", "us", "our"), operating from Eden Business Park, Cheadle, Greater Manchester, SK8 6RH.

You can contact us on 0161 399 2068 or at [email protected]. By booking a service or making a payment you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Electro Sure is the direct provider of all work described on our website. We are not a marketplace or introducer — you contract directly with us, and our qualified electricians carry out all jobs.

2. Services we provide

We provide a range of electrical services including, but not limited to: Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), fire and smoke alarm testing, emergency lighting testing and certification, electrical fault finding, property electrical inspections, general electrical work, electric water cylinder repair and servicing, and solar & battery storage inspections.

All work is carried out by qualified electricians to the relevant British Standards, including BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition). Certificates and reports are issued in accordance with the applicable regulatory requirements.

3. Bookings & quotations

Prices shown on our website are fixed prices for the scope of work described and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. The final price for your job is confirmed at the time of booking before any work begins.

EICR prices are based on the size of the property and the number of circuits. If the electrical installation is materially larger or more complex than described at the time of booking, we will agree any revised price with you before proceeding with the inspection.

A booking is confirmed once you complete online payment and receive our booking confirmation email. We will do our best to attend at your chosen date and time slot; occasionally we may need to rearrange, in which case we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable to agree an alternative.

By making a booking you confirm that the information you have provided (including property type, address and number of bedrooms) is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

4. Online payment

All bookings require online payment at the time of booking. Payment is processed securely through our payment partner SumUp. We accept Visa, Mastercard and other major debit/credit cards.

By making a payment you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method provided and that you agree to these Terms in full.

Once payment is confirmed, you will receive a booking confirmation email with your appointment details, a payment receipt and a link to your customer account where you can view and manage your bookings.

Certificates and reports are issued promptly after the work has been completed.

5. Scope of inspections & reports

Electrical inspections (including EICRs, fire alarm tests, emergency lighting tests and solar/battery inspections) assess the condition of the installation at the time of the inspection against the applicable British Standard. They are a snapshot of condition at a point in time and do not guarantee future performance.

An EICR will identify observations coded as C1 (danger present), C2 (potentially dangerous), C3 (improvement recommended) or FI (further investigation required) in accordance with BS 7671. The classification reflects the professional judgement of our qualified inspector.

Our reports are produced honestly and impartially. The outcome of any inspection (satisfactory or unsatisfactory) is determined by the actual condition of the installation, not by the customer’s expectations or desired outcome. Payment for the service constitutes agreement to the defined inspection scope and methodology.

6. Same-day remedial work

Where an EICR identifies faults (codes C1, C2 or FI), we offer remedial work — often on the same day — to bring your installation up to a satisfactory standard.

Remedial work is quoted separately from the original EICR or inspection. We will always agree the cost with you before carrying out any additional work. You are under no obligation to instruct us for remedial work.

7. Cancellation & rescheduling policy

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge by giving us at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled appointment time.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice: If you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, or if our electrician is unable to gain access to the property at the agreed time through no fault of ours, a call-out charge of up to £50 may be deducted from your refund to cover our costs (including travel, lost appointment slot and administration).

Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Rescheduling: Where possible we will accommodate rescheduling requests at no extra cost, subject to availability. Repeated rescheduling may be treated as a cancellation.

Cancellation after work has commenced: Once our electrician has arrived and commenced work, no refund is available for the work already carried out. If you ask us to stop part-way through, we will charge a fair proportion of the agreed price reflecting the work completed.

No-show: If our electrician attends the property at the agreed time and is unable to gain entry or contact you within 15 minutes, this will be treated as a late cancellation and the call-out charge will apply.

To cancel or reschedule, contact us on 0161 399 2068 or email [email protected] with your booking reference.

8. Payment disputes & chargebacks

We are committed to resolving any concerns fairly and promptly. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us directly in the first instance so we can investigate and, where appropriate, put things right.

Our inspections and reports reflect the genuine condition of the electrical installation as assessed by a qualified professional. An unsatisfactory EICR result or an inspection outcome that does not meet your expectations is not grounds for a refund or chargeback, as the service (the inspection itself) has been delivered as described.

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your card issuer without first contacting us to resolve the matter, we reserve the right to: (a) provide the card company with evidence that the service was delivered as described, including the inspection report and booking confirmation; (b) suspend your account and withhold any certificates or reports pending resolution; and (c) recover any costs we incur in defending the dispute, including administrative fees.

We encourage customers to raise any concerns with us on ${BUSINESS.phone} or ${BUSINESS.email} within 14 days of the service being carried out. We will respond within 5 working days and work with you to reach a fair resolution.

Nothing in this clause affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.

9. Access & safety

You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property and the electrical installation at the agreed time. This includes ensuring that consumer units, distribution boards and all circuits are accessible.

If we identify a dangerous condition (code C1) during an inspection, we are obliged to make the installation safe. We will advise you of the immediate action required and, where necessary, isolate the affected circuit.

10. Guarantees & liability

All workmanship carried out by Electro Sure is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion. Our certificates reflect the condition of the installation at the time of inspection and are valid for the period stated on the certificate.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Subject to the above, our total liability in connection with any booking shall not exceed the price paid for that booking.

11. Intellectual property

All content on our website — including text, images, logos and design — is the property of Electro Sure and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or use our content without written permission.

12. Data protection

We handle your personal data in accordance with UK data protection legislation (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). We use the details you provide to deliver and administer your booking, to contact you about your job, and to send you relevant service communications.

Certificates, reports and job records are retained for our records and to meet regulatory requirements. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

13. Complaints

If you wish to make a complaint about any service, please contact us on 0161 399 2068 or email [email protected]. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and provide a full response within 10 working days.

If we are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer the matter to your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to that booking. Continued use of our website and services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
